Riverview Health Receives American College of Cardiology Award for Cardiac Care

Riverview Health has received the American College of Cardiology’s NCDR ACTION Registry–GWTG Platinum Performance Achievement Award for 2016. Riverview Health is one of only 223 hospitals nationwide to receive this prestigious award.

“It’s an honor to receive this award once again. More importantly, it’s a well deserved recognition for our hardworking Heart & Vascular team members,” said Tammi Nash, executive director of Nursing Operations at Riverview Health. “By successfully implementing a higher standard of care for heart attack patients, we’re able to improve their outcomes, which is the greatest reward for us.”

To achieve this award, a certain level of treatment guidelines had to be implemented for eight consecutive quarters. Riverview Health was able to perform at the top level of standards for specific performance measures.
