February 7, 2025

NOBLESVILLE, IN — Riverview Health Foundation is proud to announce that it has been awarded $5,000 from the Duke Energy Foundation to enhance the care of newborns in its maternity center. This generous funding will be used to purchase Pasteurized Donor Human Milk (PDHM) from the Milk Bank, ensuring more infants have access to life-saving nutrition and support during their earliest days.

“We are incredibly grateful for the support from Duke Energy,” states Michelle Allen, Associate Chief Nursing Officer. “This grant will allow us to provide critically needed donor milk to newborns in the Riverview Health maternity center, ensuring they receive the nourishment they need to thrive. It is a testament to the importance of community partnerships.”

The Duke Energy Foundation is focused on strengthening and uplifting communities with grant funding, focused on reducing structural barriers and promoting access to opportunity for underserved communities. This grant is part of Duke Energy’s ongoing efforts to contribute to the health, safety and well-being of local communities.
