Riverview Health is pleased to announce that it will serve as the exclusive sports medicine provider for Sheridan Community Schools, starting April 1, 2016.
“We’re very excited to partner with Riverview Health for our athletic training program,” said Dr. Dave Mundy, superintendent of Sheridan Community Schools. “This partnership will allow us to provide our students with superior sports medicine services while forging a tighter bond with a healthcare leader in our community.”
As part of the agreement, Riverview Health will provide onsite certified athletic trainers and a weekly injury clinic for students participating in school sports. Under the supervision of a board certified sports medicine physician, Riverview Health will provide comprehensive medical care—including ImPACT concussion testing, injury evaluation and physical exams—to student athletes.
“This partnership is yet another symbol of our strong commitment to our community,” said Larry Christman, chief operating officer at Riverview Health. “The student athletes and their parents count on us to help them stay healthy by providing good concussion management and injury prevention techniques. If an injury does occur, our team of primary- and specialty-care experts is ready to help them get back in the game.”
