Riverview Health Foundation received a $15,000 donation from Dick Gordon, founder of the Gordon Brick Layer Club, and other members of his family for the expansion and renovation of the Infusion Center at Riverview Health.
“The Gordon Brick Layer Club was established in recognition of the Dick Gordon family's philanthropic vision for Riverview Health,” said Megan Wiles, executive director of Riverview Health Foundation. “Both the Gordon family and Riverview Health have such passion in supporting our community, which makes for a great partnership.”
Members of the Gordon family, through their businesses, support local charities and organizations by contributing financially and their time toward causes they care for deeply.
“Establishing the Brick Layers is one of my accomplishments I am proud of,” Gordon said. “I love Noblesville, and our family is proud to be a part of this community. It is our pleasure to be a part of the new Infusion Center.”
In addition to the Infusion Center, other Riverview Health projects the Gordon Brick Layer Club helped fund include the Women’s Pavilion and Emergency Room updates. The Gordon family, which includes Dick’s wife Margaret, daughters Sylvia, Rebecca, and Theresa, and son Frank, intends to maintain their close ties with Riverview Health. The Infusion Center at Riverview Health helps those battling cancer and other illnesses to receive treatment via infusion and injection when they cannot use oral medications and other modes of treatment.
Thanks to the support of the Gordon family along with other significant gifts from community members and the Riverview Health Auxiliary, construction for the Infusion Center project is set to begin before the end of the year and will be completed in 2019. The new Infusion Center will offer a bigger space, along with private, semi-private and open seating options for patients.
